Site Information

Haebangchon, meaning "Liberation Village," was named after people who settled on the hillside below Namsan Mountain following Korea’s liberation in 1945. These settlers included displaced individuals, returnees from abroad, and refugees of war. Located across Yongsan-dong 1-ga and 2-ga in Yongsan-gu near Namsan, Haebangchon is one of Seoul's representative hillside neighborhoods (known as daldongnae). Although it was designated for redevelopment in 1979 under the Yongsan Redevelopment District project, the village has retained its narrow alleys and sloped terrain.
In 2021, urban regeneration efforts by Yongsan District improved the area's accessibility for tourists, allowing visitors to explore themed walking routes. A slope elevator was installed on the neighborhood’s landmark "108 Steps."
Haebangchon has gained popularity as a filming location for various TV dramas and commercials, including My Name is Kim Sam-soon, Itaewon Class, When the Camellia Blooms, and a Sony camera advertisement, drawing continuous interest from locals and tourists alike.

Cancellation Fee Regulations

This product involves prepaid expenses for airline (or ship) seats or hotel rooms. Please understand that, in the event of a cancellation, the following cancellation fees will apply:

If notification is given up to 4 days before the start of the trip: Refund of the contract deposit.
If notification is given up to 3 days before the start of the trip: Compensation amounting to 20% of the travel fee.
If notification is given up to 2 days before the start of the trip: Compensation amounting to 30% of the travel fee.
If notification is given up to 1 day before the start of the trip: Compensation amounting to 100% of the travel fee.
If notification is given on the day of the trip: Compensation amounting to 100% of the travel fee.

※ In cases where the trip is cancelled before the departure date due to injury, illness, hospitalization, death, etc., a refund may be issued upon submission of supporting evidence (such as a medical certificate). Please ensure that the supporting documents are submitted within 7 days from the departure date. (For further details, please refer to the full terms and conditions.)

Provision of Cancellation Fee Evidence and Refund of the Difference

Customers may request detailed evidence and explanations from the travel agency regarding the breakdown of cancellation fees (including the travel agency’s labor costs) related to the cancellation of the contract. The travel agency will provide the necessary explanations and evidence, and if there is any difference in the amount charged, a refund will be issued accordingly.

Cancellation of the Contract Due to Insufficient Minimum Participants

1. Notification Requirement:
If we cancel the travel contract due to the failure to meet the minimum required number of participants, we must notify the travelers:
For same-day trips: at least 24 hours before departure.
For trips lasting 1 night and 2 days or longer: at least 48 hours before departure.

2. Additional Compensation:
If we cancel the contract due to insufficient participants without providing notice within the specified time limits above, then in addition to refunding any deposit already received, we shall compensate the traveler with an amount equal to 100% of the contract deposit.

Cancellation Due to the Occurrence of a Class 1 Infectious Disease

1. Without Damage Compensation:
In the event of the occurrence of a Class 1 infectious disease (or similar event) where any of the following conditions apply, either the travel agency or the traveler may cancel the contract without paying the damage compensation amount specified in Article 13, Paragraph 1:

a. If an administrative order (such as a ban on gatherings, facility closure, or suspension of facility operations) is issued for any region or facility included in the travel itinerary, making it impossible to fulfill the contract.
b. If, after the contract is concluded, the travel region or the traveler’s residence (or departure area) is declared a special disaster area, making it impossible to fulfill the contract.
c. If, after the contract is concluded, all activities except essential socio-economic activities are, in principle, prohibited (for example, under social distancing Level 3 or equivalent measures), rendering the performance of the contract impossible.

2. With Reduced Damage Compensation:
If, after the contract is concluded, a state of emergency (or disaster) is declared in the travel region making it extremely difficult to fulfill the contract, or if a critical infectious disease alert is issued and the government recommends canceling or postponing travel (or refraining from travel) (for example, under social distancing Level 2 or equivalent measures), then either the travel agency or the traveler may cancel the contract. In such cases, the damage compensation amount specified in Article 13, Paragraph 1 will be reduced by 50%.

Important Information When Making a Reservation

▸ Local Government-Supported Products:
These special discounted products are partially subsidized by local governments. To verify the event, it is necessary to collect a list of participants, have survey forms completed, take group photos, and collect receipts for individually arranged lunches. We appreciate your cooperation.

▸ Unforeseen Termination and Changes:
Please note that local government-supported products may be terminated without notice depending on the local government’s budget and circumstances, and that prices and itineraries are subject to change.

Departure Information: - Minimum Participants:
The trip may be canceled if the minimum number of participants (2 people) is not met.; - Final Departure Confirmation:
Final confirmation of departure will be communicated individually by phone or text message at least 3 days before the trip.; - Contact for Changes:
Requests for trip cancellation or changes, adjustments to the list of travelers, or changes to boarding locations can only be handled over the phone during the service provider’s business hours.

Applicable to children aged from 4 years (36 months) to 12 years old (up to the 6th grade of elementary school).; - Pets:
Pets are not allowed.; - Wheelchairs: Wheelchairs cannot be rented. If you bring your own wheelchair, please note that it will be stored in the trunk under the vehicle, which may result in damage.; - Boarding/Disembarkation:
Boarding and disembarkation are only permitted at the locations specified in the itinerary. No other locations are allowed.; - Departure Point & Mid-Itinerary Changes:

Seats are assigned based on a designated seating system in the order of reservation. Requests for specific seat assignments (for example, due to motion sickness) cannot be accommodated.; - Grouping of Companions:
Although we try to assign seats next to your travel companions, please understand that, due to the number of passengers or unavoidable circumstances, you may be assigned seats that are not adjacent (for instance, in front of or behind your companions).
